OVERVIEW
This course is a continuing education course for certified
divers. It is a fun and enjoyable way continue supervised diving
experience. It is a good way to introduce divers to a variety of
diving activities and is taught entirely in an open water setting. Upon
completion of the course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open
water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and
the areas dived approximate those of training. This course is appropriate for
divers who:
- Want to increase diving skills and comfort levels
- Desire additional training.
- Do not have, but wish to obtain, NAUI certification.
- Desire orientation to a variety of diving sites and
conditions.
OPEN WATER DIVES
A minimum of eight open water dives is required. A maximum
of three dives per day shall be applied toward course requirements. At least two
dives are to be deeper than 20 feet (6 m).
The required dive topic areas listed represents three
separate dives of the minimum eight that are required. The remaining dives can be
combined or split as needed to fit the situation and meet student needs provided
at least eight separate dives are made.
Required Dives

- Night or low visibility diving 2 dives
- Search and recovery 1dive
- Deep diving (80-100 feet depth) 1 dive

- Diving in Surf or Currents

- Diving for Photos or Video
- Observation and Data Collection
- Fresh Water Diving

- Non-Penetration Wreck Diving (Fort
Ross)
- Altitude Diving
- Salt Water Diving (in areas where most diving is in
fresh water)
PREREQUISITES FOR ENTERING THE

FEE FOR CLASS
- Instructor Fee: $200 (for instruction in class
room 3-6-hr, confined water 3-6hr, ocean 8 dives)
extra $100.00 per dive for semi privet 2-4divers (we set schedule)
extra $340.00 per diver for privet class one on one
- Material Fee: $49.95 Student

$20-$150 (2 lights, dive slate, compass )
